Aberaeron

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we spent a night at the (quite rightly) much-hyped Harbourmaster Hotel in lovely Aberaeron.

After getting a bit tipsy the night before in Tenby, we were just thrilled to check into this delightful room.

And this perfectly purple velvet couch

In true Aberaeron style, the hotel’s decor is bold, bright and colourful. I loved that, despite its absolutely impeccable finishing and modern, luxurious fittings, there were traditional touches littered throughout.

Pretty, even in the rain

The weather wasn’t great for our trip, so after settling in, we had no other choice than to head for the bar! But in between the showers, we managed to stroll around the pretty town and sample the area’s famous honey ice cream.

In the evening, we got dressed up and went for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Being on the coast, there were loads of local seafood dishes on the menu and the lobster was  absolutely delicious!

One year bling (and some J.Crew jewels!)

The next morning the sun was shining and I finally got to make use of the Adirondack chair – taking me back to New England!
