On 4th July, we arrived in Nantucket, an island 30 miles south of Cape Cod.
Last time we visited it was for a day trip, and it wasn’t quite long enough, so we returned for five blissful nights.
First stop was a spot of shopping at Ralph Lauren – this always seems to be at the top of the agenda when Ollie’s around!
The first beach we headed to was The Jetties. It wasn’t the best on the island, but it was a short walk from town, which meant we could head to Provisions for lunch.
In the evening, we donned our red, white and blue, and enjoyed a taste of America with local beers at Nixs Brewpub and brisket at B-ACK Yard BBQ. I even wore a firework inspired dress from Lily Pulitzer’s 4th July window display but forgot to photograph it amongst all the action! I’ll have to save it for another post…
After dinner, we headed to the harbour to see the sunset and fireworks display. It was so much fun being part of the celebrations!
There’ll be more from me in ACK in my next post!
