Journey to “I Do”

Handwriting invitations

Planning a wedding hasn’t left time to do much else, hence why it’s been a bit quiet around here!

So I thought, why not let you in on my preparations?!

The stationery

Save the Dates

I worked with a designer on these navy and white, chevron inspired invites, so that they’d turn out exactly how I wanted them. I chose bright yellow envelopes for the Save The Dates to add a pop of colour, and light blue envelopes for the formal invitations to match the monogram (which I created using an app called WordSwag).

The venue

I love the juxtaposition of our venue’s elegant Georgian exterior and stylish modern interior. I’m keeping the theme simple, with white peonies, roses and blue hydrangeas in tall settings.

The Dress

Cute 50s style prom dress, Ellis Bridal

Not really!

But it was on my shortlist. I decided to go floor length in the end and I’m wearing a gown by a British designer. That’s all I’m sharing for now!

The husband-to-be

He’s bought two Ralph Lauren suits for the occasion (to choose between) and now not sure about either of them. Who said finding the perfect dress was the hard part!? We’re off to London next weekend and will be heading to RL, Crockett & Jones, and Drakes with the aim of nailing his outfit!

The pre-wedding workouts

Neon Nikes for motivation

On top of wedmin, we’ve been making time to workout. And I’m actually enjoying it (well, afterwards at least!) I’m doing a couple of BodyPump sessions and a few 5k runs per week. I’m also using the Nike Training Club app for its abs workouts – it’s free to download and pretty good.
